The Collaboratory develops and disseminates relevant best practices to interested parties, leads and participates in projects across the State related to natural resource management, and makes recommendations to the General Assembly.

The chemistry department conducts research in all areas of modern chemistry, and its researchers generate more than 300 publications annually and have over 100 patents filed within last 10 years.
